1) Alert Bad Reader Gerry Blue pointed out to me that Yahoo! will most likely not be charging for groups like this one. He pointed me towards the Snopes website which has some details. It also notes that internet petitions are not terribly useful. I figured as much, but was hoping it might help. It looks like there's nothing to help though!

What's worse, I am a regular at Snopes.com! They have a bulletin board there which I read sometimes. Sigh. Anyway, you could do worse than poking around the Snopes website, which debunks a lot of urban legends, including the one I just spread. ;-)

2) Subscribe/Unsubscribe Information

If, for some weird reason, you want to unsubscribe to this newsletter, just send email to badastronomy-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com with no body text. Make sure you send it from the address to which the newsletter is sent! Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from the Yahoo!Groups website. Go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/groups-32.html for more info.

Remember, the newsletters will be archived on the website at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/badastronomy so even if you unsubscribe you can still read them there. I suggest staying subscribed so you get them as soon as I send them.
