I (heart) George Hrab

Man, is this guy cool or what?

You should know that George Hrab is a) a genius, b) a friend, and c) a skeptic…

Oh, and d) coming to TAM 6!

And his song brainsbodyboth is brilliant. Perfect.

Tip o’ the interrobang to Evo Terra.

This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Ever.

  2. bearcub Says:

Hmm. After seeing this, I might have to consider going to see his show during TAM.

    Thanks Phil.

  3. Just Al Says:

That was fun, though probably much better coming through something with a bit higher res than YouTubed.

But I can’t resist noting that posting the lyrics would get me deleted from the blog ;-)

  4. Saint Pat Says:

Now I (heart) George Hrab, too.

I just had to stop by and visit a site called “Bad Astronomy.”

    Cheers!

  5. Lugosi Says:

Hmmm…. I suddenly had visions of the Hollywood Squares with Paul Lynde in every single square.

  6. Beelzebud Says:

I can’t imagine how much time and tedious work it took to sync all of that up. Very cool.

  7. DarkSapiens Says:

Oh, no, it should be easy to synchronize. You just have to make the same sequence with your hand at the beginning all times, and then put the videos in the right moment when played.

Very cool. I think I’ll watch it again :P

  8. DarkSapiens Says:

Oh, well, it HAS to have taken time. Forget what I said about “easy” :P

  9. gobluegirl Says:

    @DarkSapiens,

Hush, you. You’re destroying the magic.

Seriously, though, I love this video. My favorite part is the Wayne’s World-esque head banging at the “Party Hearty” lyrics at about the middle of the song.

Bald guy head banging. Oh, the irony.

  10. skeptikós Says:

Quality - but what does e=mc2 mean? :/

  11. CR Says:

That was fun, catchy, clever & witty. I shall keep my eyes (and ears) open for more from him.

  12. antaresrichard Says:

Just a hunch: Hrab is Brady spelled sideways?

  13. tahlmorra Says:

    Commercial quality..or better-than..

He should look into the Indy labels.. I’d pay for the (video enhanced) CD..

    Sweet find..

  14. Eugenio Manuel Says:

Where can I find the lyrics?

  16. Pieter Kok Says:

The song’s not really my thing, but the video is brilliant: cool idea, well executed.

  17. Barton Paul Levenson Says:

    Skepticos –

In relativity theory, energy and matter are related by the equation

    E^2 = M^2 c^4 + p^2 c^2

where E is energy, M mass, c the speed of light, and p momentum. For a mass motionless in an inertial frame of reference, p is 0, so the equation becomes

    E = M c^2

For the SI, c is 299,792,458 meters per second, and one uses M in kilograms and E in joules.

Cool. Kind of a Bee’s eye view. ;)
