BABloggee TPrime pointed out to me that the image I posted of Comet 17/P Holmes yesterday reminded him of something, and it didn’t take long for him to figure it out…

Hmmm. Maybe I should upgrade soon. Apple is obviously spending a lot of cash on advertising!

A golden apple of the sun…

Comet: harbinger of doom.
Comet shaped like the Apple logo: Maybe we should all just give up computing entirely.

You might say that their budget is astronomical.

Most out-of-this-world advertising campaign in Apple history.

We must live in an iUniverse.

Must be that God has his laptop open and the apple is lit up.

> We must live in an iUniverse.
The only problem being that we can’t just nip down to the iStore and buy a whole new one when there’s a relatively simple flaw that could be quickly repaired…

“Golden Apples of the Sun”? I remember that short story from my youth. It was one of the first books that got my imagination soaring. Thanks for the good thought from an innocent youth.
Also a good story, recommend it for those who can find it.

If God is a Mac user, that just gives me another reason to be an atheist.

Perhaps this lends some credibility to the recent assertion that there’s a twenty percent chance we’re all just pawns in somebody else’s simulation.
Could it be that we’re seeing the back of our overlord’s laptop screen!?

If apples are good enough for Isaac Newton, they’re good enough for me.

Wow… if it’s an apple comet, corporate policy will probably block it from half the world. iComet will start up and charge everyone who can see the comet a dollar every time they look. It will cost extra to look through a telescope, and if you go to a friend’s house, it won’t show up in his telescope unless you pay a dollar.
At the peak of brightness, Apple will cancel the comet and it will simply disappear.
All the while this is going on, Microsoft will copyright the moon and add an application WinMoon to Vista.

I noticed that!
Geez, everything sure is rolling Apple’s way. They even have the universe revolving around them.

It is the sign of LaForge, the holographic simulation is showing its age.

“Hello, I’m a Mac.”
“And I’m a PC.”
“And I’m a comet.”
Don’t even kid yourselves, folks, you’d LOVE to see that one!
