Ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease…
‘Course, it’s a little weird having Tudyk give the news, considering what happened to his character in the last movie.
The news isn’t all good, I’m afraid. From the article:
“Likely to happen before a ‘Serenity’ sequel though is an ‘I, Robot’ sequel. Tudyk visited the set of Will Smith’s latest movie ‘I am Legend’ to talk about the movie recently, and says he’d be super excited to play Sonny the robot again.”
Ugh. Sentence deleted by The Bad Astronomer

I would love for this to be true! I’m not going to actually hold my breath, but if it does come to fruition I will be very happy

I’d love to see it happen.
Here’s hoping……
October 8th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Ahhh, this would be sweeeeeet if it actually happened.
One thing that could happen is for them to make a prequel to the movie (but sequel to the series). Then we can have all the characters intact

ooooooh excellent! i hope they do!

Shiny Shiny Shiny!!!
And Phil, most people basically ignore AICN, as they are the worst of the rabid slobbering fanboys. They’re purplebellies, as far as true Browncoats are concerned.
More Firefly/Serenity goodiness for all!!

Yeah, bet Joss is kicking himself for killing off Wash now, huh? Sure, make it all uncertain and anyone can die, sure, kill off a major character. Whoops, the sequels haven’t run their course yet. Nuts.
Not only that but River is all normal now AND they don’t have to run anymore AND he’s with Kaylee AND Mal is with Inara. Yup, way to tie up all those loose ends. BIG mistake.

Just wondering, is Wil Wheaton aware of your mancrush?
October 8th, 2007 at 6:25 pm
I thought you didn’t like the movie? You never did a badastronomy review though I’d love to see one. Well this would be a truly great thing next to reviving the tv show of course.

doesn’t BA look like Daniel Tammet?

If Whedon has a script and story he likes, I say go for it. Just don’t cash in on the fans.
I think I’ll stick to having crushes on the ladies.
Such as Jewel Staite (aka Kaylee) who is currently starring in Stargate Atlantis. I love a woman who’s good with tools. Mmm hmm.
And of course Morena Baccarin. High class courtesans RULE!
I wasn’t so hot for Summer Glau. Maybe because I once dated a nut like her character in real life. Not BAD memories per se, but… odd. Come to think of it, she’s a crazy lady on The 4400, too.

PLEEESE be true!!!!
You’ve made my year! sweet!

Heck–If they could kill Spock and then bring him back –but that was a different ‘verse– There has to be a way to revive Wash.
Whatever they do–I’ll show up to watch it!

If you like Alan Tudyk, you really need to see Death at a Funeral; he’s absolutely brilliant in it (and largely naked, to my wife’s glee).

I suppose the SciFi channel could do a remake of Firefly. What the hey, they’ve tackled nearly every other old SciFi movie/series, though I’m not exactly enamored of the new Buck Rogers. Unfortunately, getting the principal lead characters together would be really difficult and I really liked Summer Glau,,,a fine rendition of the schizo round trip,,,
I’m sure Joss Whedon could come up with other characters just as interesting as those in Firefly. He’s a truly remarkable, creative being.
I sure hope there is substance to the rumors,,,

Oh, that would be so awesome. Firefly died before its time (kind of like a few characters in the movie, I might add). I would love to see another movie, there are still a number of unanswered questions.

No, she’s not normal. She may be better by knowing what was in her head, but who is to say that was all that was there. Plus, there’s that whole genius and psychic thing.
> AND they don’t have to run anymore
Nonsense. Just because they revealed that big secret doesn’t mean they are off the hook. Mal still plays on the fringes of legality.
> AND he’s with Kaylee AND Mal is with Inara.
Haven’t resolved the key problem between Mal and Inara. Mal can’t respect her profession, Inara can’t risk attachment.
> Yup, way to tie up all those loose ends. BIG mistake.
Plenty of fertile ground yet in the ‘verse.

Now, now…remember that the Alliance exists to make this a better world.
All of them, better worlds…………………………………………………………..

O____________O
I absolutely love firefly. This better be true! I’ve also heard that Joss would pick up Firefly again if another network bought it from Fox–I could be wrong. However, if this happened, it would convince me that cable is worth it.
Meanwhile, I’ll just keep poring over Serenity: Those Left Behind, and eagerly await the next one.
Serenity 2, plz!

In my case - yes, know I’m late with this - I’d like to see Joss incorporate the Merchanter universe of CJ Cherryh’s. Her future history is well-developed. She’s won awards, Some of her othe rwork is hard to visualize, but the nitty-gritty - that space is a workplace - is there. There is no place for the flying condo with the big-screen TV and endless explanations for an idiot audience in adult performances.
