Just a reminder: I will be on Coast to Coast AM radio tonight starting at midnight Mountain (US) time, for three hours (I plan on having a nice cup of coffee with dinner).
I’ve put up a preliminary page with some links to the possible topics we’ll be covering, as well as links to the other times I’ve been on the show. I’ll try to update it tomorrow with more links to what we talked about.
The show is syndicated, and quite a few of the stations that carry it stream the show live. Here is a list of affiliates. I personally used to listen to the stream on the Canadian station CFUN. YMMV.

BA, I would love to hear you speak, but I don’t think I can stay up all night for you. Is there a chance that someone will post the entire show on the introtubes?
December 27th, 2007 at 2:39 pm
There’s always that possibility, but to get it without paying into C2C’s subscription service you’d probably have to check the seedy corners of the net.
December 27th, 2007 at 2:47 pm
Just a note for people who cannot work out what Mountain time is, its GMT -7. So for people in England we can listen to Phil at the more sensible time of 7 am in morning.
December 27th, 2007 at 2:57 pm
I think the show is somewhere on XM satellite radio too, if you have that.
December 27th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
I often wonder how hard it is for guests to stay awake when they’re on that show. I always hope to hear someone nodding off and spouting sleepytime gibberish.
December 27th, 2007 at 4:18 pm
I’ll have to set up Total Recorder to tape this, it should be very interesting.
December 27th, 2007 at 4:49 pm
Well I’m in England for the holidays and I can categorically state that 7am is no more a sensible time than 12 midnight.
If I recall correctly, some stations repeat an hour or two of the previous night’s broadcast just before the next night’s show. So check your local listings.
December 27th, 2007 at 5:19 pm
Thanks for the (possibly unintended) recommendation! It looks like it’s a good program.
December 27th, 2007 at 5:46 pm
Checked out the tip about XM Radio. Coast to Coast AM is on channel 165 starting at 1:00 AM eastern. Presumably it’s the same broadcast you would hear on primitive Earthbound frequencies. The complete schedule is at http://www.coasttocoastam.com/info/xm.html
December 27th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
Very nice timing. Since Adult swim is having their Futurama marathon, this should fit very well with the timing!
December 27th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
1AM Eastern? Talk about a shady time.
I think some of the syndicateds offer some online rebroadcasts, no?
December 27th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
I record it to a Electonic Voice Recorder, it saves it as a MP3 file and I load in to my computer and play it back the next day. Much better sound than playing it on its little squeak speaker. It records a little over 4 hrs before it full and shuts off… 62.3 Meg. Works good…
December 28th, 2007 at 12:11 am
BA! I am listening to you right now!
December 28th, 2007 at 12:21 am
Me too BA …
Good Luck from Henniker, New Hampshire …
Sounds great, so far!

December 28th, 2007 at 12:35 am
Ummmm, Jason, you hope to hear someone on C2C spouting some sleepytime gibberish? Well, that’s just about every night! I used to love listening to this show in Edmonton when I lived there.
December 28th, 2007 at 1:20 am
Hey BA, listening now, you are talking about the possible “hit” in 2036. I have never heard you speak, just read your book, but your enthusiasm is certainly contagious! (Even though you are currently talking about the possible end of humanity. At least you are enthusiastic about it! LOL)
December 28th, 2007 at 1:36 am
Michelle, not sure about that. I know C2C has an option where you can become a subscriber and listen live. Check there website. You used to be able to listen to the previous evening show for free. I’m not sure if they have changed that.
December 28th, 2007 at 1:37 am
Thanks for the kind words! I’m having fun. I love getting lots of time to talk.
December 28th, 2007 at 2:03 am
Love having this kind of material on the show than the normal stuff.
December 28th, 2007 at 2:05 am
Being in Europe, for once I am glad of the time difference.
It’s great listening and I am really glad I was able to tune in.
December 28th, 2007 at 2:23 am
Yeah, first caller tonite!
December 28th, 2007 at 2:30 am
Henniker! Hey, I’ve been there!
December 28th, 2007 at 2:55 am
He’s a very Interesting guest on C2C..
He’s open to the subject on UFO’s and astrology.
Cool..
I recommend doing the Horoscope of July 16, 1994
@ 2:30 P.M. Houston, Tx, -when Zeus (Jupiter) got hit
‘Shoemaker Levy 9′! And progress it to January 30th, 2008
when Mars get hit by 164 foot object- travelling 28,000 Miles per
hour (or 8 miles a second).
It makes one think we have technology to send a 164 rock
to Mars- Could it be a Russian message to the world?
December 28th, 2007 at 3:01 am
Well, that was too much fun! I really do like being on that show. George is a great host.
Now I have to wind myself down; it’s 3:01 a.m. and I have work to do tomorrow!
December 28th, 2007 at 3:04 am
Good job on the interview, Phil.
Regarding recording it - it’s a bit too late to record it now, but in the future, you can record it with the (open source, free) Audacity program. I can record over 15 hours of audio with it.

Hi Phil,
I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you on C2C with George Noory this past Thursday, December 27th. While I’m not a regular listener to the show as I don’t particularly care for many of his other topics, such as the paranormal, I do enjoy listening whenever he has scientists and astronomers, such as yourself, on the show. I must say that I particularly like your style in the manner in which you answer the various questions listeners have. Regardless of the question, you take each one seriously and answer it succinctly. I also enjoyed listening to the discussions between you and George on different topics within the realm of astronomy. You also have a great web site by the way, too!
I, too, love astronomy, although I’m not an astronomer. I did, however, take an undergrad course in the subject last year just for fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ve also taken a few non-credit courses in the subject over the years. I find astronomy both fascinating and mystifying at the same time.
Well, I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy ‘08, and I look forward to listening to you on future appearances on C2C!
Take care,
Frank

We have C2C on nightly to mask my wife’s tinnitis. It’s about time George had a voice of reason on for a bit. I sorta drifted in and out, but what I caught was good. When I checked the C2C site to see what I’d missed, I found this:
“Astrologer and psychic Brandi Jasmine shares her astrological analysis of Bhutto’s death in Pakistan.”
Sigh. Back to bid’ness as usual.
December 28th, 2007 at 8:23 am
Awesome show Phil. Sounds like George likes you! When all is said and done, he is a good interviewer, allowing his guests to freely explain themselves. I really did enjoy your enthusiasm. You have that “kid in a candy store” quality about you when talking about things. Cool.
December 28th, 2007 at 8:43 am
Daggnabbit! A little advance warning (24 hours) would be nice!
December 28th, 2007 at 9:12 am
Darn, I missed it.
Will it be available for download somewhere?
December 28th, 2007 at 9:31 am
Decius, C2C has a link, but you need to sign up for it. I’m not sure how much it is, but it’s a subscription service. Unless you listen to the show often, it is probably not worth it.
(Phil, I placed a link to your website on my blog. Is that ok? I’m new at this blogging and not sure about the legality of it all. I’ll remove the link if I have to. I just placed links to my favorite websites on my blog.)
December 28th, 2007 at 10:01 am
Great job on the C2C showing! It was great how you responded to the Mayan calendar claim.
December 28th, 2007 at 10:25 am
Thanks, Michael.
December 28th, 2007 at 11:13 am
HA! I got a kick out of the lady asking if the Sun was alive! LOL.
December 28th, 2007 at 11:46 am
Heard you on the XM broadcast of C2CAM this morning and I didn’t even know you were going to be on. It was pure chance I changed it to that particular station. I will occasionally listen to C2CAM because I find it amusing.
Rock on, Phil!
