The Bloggies are coming! This is the Oscar, if you will, of blogs. You can vote for your favorite blogs, with topics like politics, crafts, tech, etc.
But dagnappit, there’s no science category.
There is, however, a “Best Topical Blog” category, and this is where shameless self-promotion comes in. There aren’t many astronomy blogs, and one has to be best, right? Actually, you can nominate up to three, which will dampen my wanton craveness somewhat.
Anyway, if you like the Bad Astronomy Blog, why not mosey on over to the Bloggies site and write it in?
P.S. Barring some catastrophe, which is always a possibility, this should be the last self-referential blog entry for a while. I’ll have a way cool astro-picture to post tonight, so back to astronomy!

Why does Canada get a whole category? Canada blew it! They almost had a country with:
French culture
British government
American know-how
Instead they ended up with:
French government
British know-how
American culture

Thanks for this blog. Astronomy classes for nonscientists were my favorite college classes and I took them whenever I could squeeze in the electives. That was a long time ago, but you’ve really reignited my love for astronomy. That’s certainly worth my vote.

Just want to note that, in the procedure section, the following note is stated:
“From now until 10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) on Tuesday, January 10, 2005, anyone can nominate their favorite weblogs.”
I think, at least I hope, that they meant to say “2006.” So, get over there and vote, folks!
