Comments are back on
Folks–
Thanks for being patient. As far as I can tell, the move to the new server has worked, and it was only marginally painful (though I still have some behind-the-scenes work to do).
It is possible that some people may still see the blog from the old server, until their network catches up with the new location . That usually happens in a few hours, so I’m hoping it’s over. But if you post a comment, and the next day it’s gone, that may be the culprit.
And now, back to the regularly posted astronomy/critical thinking/humor ranting. Well, in a coupla hours. ![]()

I should probably test the comments, too.
okay!
i refuse to comment, on principle.
oups
I do hope that “new” and “improved” does mean better. The other day I bought a Lion chocolate bar with new “improved” taste and it was really horrible. Of course I told everyone who cared to listen, admittedly not that many, but it did give me more elbow room on the Tube as people moved away from me.
Today I found out that I was thinking about a Picnic chocolate bar, I don’t think I had actually eaten a Lion bar before.
What has this to do with BA changing server?
I don’t know, I’m just testing the comments.
Hurrah for the smooth move.
Is there supposed to be a new URL or something, or am I just supposed to
continue reading from this URL and I won’t even notice the difference?
By the way, what new server are you now on. I might put my website on that now.
[…] If you are not a reader of The Bad Astronomy Blog, I’ll point you to a recent post which has received a lot of comments. Quite interesting reading, from low to high brow. […]
[…] For the last three years or so, I’ve subscribed to a newsletter sent out by Phil Plait, of the site http://www.badastronomy.com, which debunks a lot of myths having to do with astronomy (such as the myth that the moon landing was faked). Recently, he’s switched over from sending out a news letter to writing a blog, and there is an article on there now that I think everbody should read. […]
I suspect comments are not working at the moment. We’ll see.
